Twinkle, Twinkle in the Twitter Era

This is the season of lights that sparkle and twinkle regardless of snowfall. Everybody wants to capture these moments with their smart phones that also sparkle and glow in the darkness. Visitors at Spiral love installations with lights. Omotesando in Tokyo is aglow with lights, and many Japanese streets are filled with blue LEDs for which the Japanese inventors won a Nobel prize. Light festivals and other art-related events involving light try to bring light to the darkness of winter in the land where the sun sets incredibly early.
